JOH Partners is an executive search and leadership advisory firm headquartered in Dubai, with operations across the Middle East and the United Kingdom. We are the data controller of personal data collected through our website and our search engagements, except where we act as processor for a client.

We collect personal data in the following circumstances:

Website visitors: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, time on site. Collected automatically via standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Newsletter subscribers and content downloads: Name, email address, optional firm and role information. Provided by you when subscribing or registering. Stored with our email service provider (Beehiiv).

Candidates in active or passive consideration: Name, contact details, employment history, education, references, referee feedback, compensation history, language proficiencies, and any other professional information relevant to executive search. Information may be received from you directly, from public sources, from referees, or from referrals.

Clients: Contact details for client-side stakeholders involved in active engagements.

Vendors and counterparties: Contact details and engagement-relevant information.

We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

We process personal data on the following lawful bases:

Legitimate interests: To run our business; to maintain a candidate network across our practice areas; to send research and editorial content to subscribers; to assess fit for active mandates; to maintain records of past engagements.

Consent: To send newsletters where you have explicitly subscribed; to share your candidate profile with a specific client where required.

Contract: To deliver search engagements to clients.

Legal obligation: To comply with applicable record-keeping, anti-money laundering, and tax requirements.

You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Clients: With your knowledge, when we present you as a candidate for a specific search.

Service providers: Including our email service provider (Beehiiv), hosting provider (Vercel), file storage (cloud-based), and search technology vendors. All operate under data processing agreements.

Legal and regulatory bodies: Where required by law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with advertisers.

JOH Partners operates internationally. Data may be transferred between the UAE, United Kingdom, European Economic Area, Singapore, and other jurisdictions where we operate. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, we use standard contractual clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.

Candidate data: Retained while you are in our network or for seven years after our last contact, whichever is shorter. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Subscriber data: Retained until you unsubscribe.

Engagement records: Retained for seven years after engagement closure to meet legal and audit requirements.

Website logs: Retained for ninety days.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; object to processing; restrict processing; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time; lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
